To get started with you the Thirtyseven4 EDR/XDR Console system requirements and steps please perform (with exact versions provided) all the following steps:
Step 1: Review the System Requirements--
Prior to the Thirtyseven4 EDR Security Console installation, please read and make sure all System Requirements are fully met on the system hosting the Console. The System Requirements for EDR Security 8.3 are firm.
https://thirtyseven4.com/downloads/System_Requirements_8_3.pdf
Step 2: You will have two options for setting up the management console.
- Option #1. You can build a system running the Ubuntu OS (22.04) and run a Thirtyseven4 Installer Script directly on it. As mentioned, the new Thirtyseven4 EDR Security 8.3 Upgrade will now support the Linux OS.
- Option #2. You can install an Oracle Virtual Box on a Windows system and utilizing it, run a Thirtyseven4 OVA file from it.
Step 3: (If utilizing Option #1 and Ubuntu OS (22.04): Download the required Ubuntu OS release.
While newer versions of the Ubuntu OS may be available, THIS version of Ubuntu 22.04 is required for installation of the Thirtyseven4 EDR Security Console.
https://old-releases.ubuntu.com/releases/22.04/ubuntu-22.04.4-desktop-amd64.iso
- Upon installation of the Ubuntu OS it may want you to immediately upgrade the OS to a newer version, at this time, do not proceed with any OS upgrades until after the installation of the Thirtyseven4 EDR Security Console.
- Again, the system requirements are firm. If you are unsure that your Ubuntu system meets the expected system requirements, please run the following commands via Terminal and email us the outputs at support@thirtyseven4.com for verification.
